side effects of radiation

In January 2018 I underwent 6 weeks of radiation (5 days a week) and finished in February. It is May now and I am experiencing severe heat flashes that lasts for hours in the area where I received the radiation. I had mouth cancer and the they pin pointed the radiation in my lower jaw and neck. It's like someone shovels hot coals on my jaw and neck area and it lasts for several hours, especially if I am near heat or in the sun. A cold cloth doesn't help because apparently it's deep in the nerves or something. Is this a side effect or should I go back to my doctor ? I have creams but they are not working for this side effect. Advice please... Visit my blog at https://journeyofsurvivalblog.wordpress.com/
