The Mouth Cancer Foundation is in talks with Tiger Aspect Productions, a TV company which is working on a new TV series charting the progress of five well-known figures as they attempt to give up smoking. The series, which is supported by the NHS, is currently scheduled for prime time broadcast in January next year, when it will go out every evening for two weeks.

Tiger Aspects are keen for the celebs – and the viewing audience – to face up to the potential consequences should they not give up smoking. One of the areas they would like to cover is the massively increased risk of developing mouth cancer that smokers open themselves up to.

They would like to arrange for one of the celebrities to meet someone who is suffering from, or has suffered from, cancer of the mouth and to talk about their story. The aim of the meeting would be to reinforce the risks of smoking.

The celebrities’ quit date is Monday 23rd November and they’re filming with them for the two weeks thereafter, so the window during which they’d like to film would extend from Tuesday 24thNovember to Thursday 3rd November.

If anyone would be comfortable to take part in this then please get in touch with Media Ambitions no later then Monday 23rd November.
