Hey all. I haven't been able to get into a Dr. yet, but I have a question. I've seen a couple of messages referring to this, but not exactly.
I have a small lump (the size of a pea?) on the INSIDE of my tongue on my right side. It can't be seen quite easily and it's soft. i never noticed that or better to say i never thought it could be something important. until i went to my dentist today and she found out by checking the tongue there is a lump. i told her i had never smoked cigarettes in my life and never drank alchohol. she told me then there is no reason to worry about it but it's better to go for a check up in dental hospital by time. i have become quite worried since and noticed now that i know it it's a bit sore on the side of the tongue when i bite it. I also feel it's a slightly sore when i eat something. i just want to know until i go to the hospital for the check up if it is definitely cancer or can it be something differnt as well. By the way i'm 55 years old and am very sporty and do loads of other types of relaxation excercises like Yoga and Tai Chi and meditation. None of my family members had tongue cancer. It'ss be great if you tell me what it might possibly be.
Thanks a lot for your help.
