Berry,

Google is your friend! Example:

Erbitux Rash

Google something like 'erbitux side effects' and you'll find info about the side effects as well as the helpful remedies. Your doc and his/her assistants should have some recommendations as well.

One of the posters on the message board I linked to above reminded me of something very important; if you get the rash, it means that Erbitux is working. I think that Cricket may have taken it - do a Find for Cricket and see if that's the right person (sorry, I'm in kind of a hurry tonight. Am working the Census and have some paperwork to complete before I go out again tomorrow morning).

Let us know how it works for you - you'll be helping someone else down the road; Pay it Forward.

Best of luck to you,

Mimi
Thank you, Mimi! That was one of the best sites I've seen. Erbitux is relatively new, so it's great to hear from a larger community of experience than I could access from my little town.

I can't tell you how much I have appreciated all of the advice, hints, and "atta girl"s that you all have sent my way. Just taking it a day at a time, doing my exercises and hoping for the best.

You are wonderful.

Berry
Erbitux is new enough that I don't know if the verdict is totally in. The studies I've seen so far only mention a few hundred patients, rather than thousands. There are worse side effects than zits, to be sure.

Luckily I have a loner-type outside job, and don't work in an atmosphere where I would freak out small children enough to send them away running and screaming.

I didn't get chicken pox until I was 28 and in college. That was an experience in discovering my vanity.

So glad you are doing well!

thank you again!

Hey, I sent Cricket a message, as it looked as if she had very similar experiences. Thank you!

It was a reply to a post 2 years ago, so I sure hope she is just out feeling well and having fun!
