Liz Laverack said it was OK to join the forum to post about an exciting event in CARDIFF, Wales on 2 February 2016. It's called Patient VOICES Event Patient VOICES Event.
A group of patients decided it was time to have our say to the Welsh Government about cancer services in Wales. Our event has been sponsored by an Assembly Member and supported by numerous charities, The Velindre NHS Trust and NHS Wales.
We're looking for patients to come to the Pierhead Building for lunch with Assembly Members. We hope to represent at least 30 different cancer types and views from across Wales.
It starts at 11 and finishes at 2. You can have an informal chat with Assembly Members and guests, and meet other patients with cancer.
It's an important event coming shortly before the Welsh elections and in the run-up to the development of the next Cancer Plan for Wales 2016 to 2021.
The highlight of the event is a Q&A session chaired by Baroness Delyth Morgan with the spokesperson from the four main parties of Wales. Too often people say patients don't speak up. It's your chance to ask what they will do to build on and improve cancer services in Wales.
